Introducing the TEC Trailblazer

Welcome to the first addition to our new blog called the Trailblazer.  For many years, the Trailblazer served as the official TEC print newsletter. Today’s Trailblazer will  provide you with fun information about your summer home in Beach Lake, PA and keep you connected all year long via this online blog.   Please feel free to email us with articles, photos and any suggestions of what you would like to us to share in the Trailblazer.

We are excited to announce that we have promoted two of our Group Leaders, Zach Wahl and Katie Donahue, to join our Head Counselor team for 2014.

Zach will be the Head Counselor for our Upper Campus Boys (6th-8th grades) replacing Scott Winston, who after 14 great summers as Boys Head Counselor will now be promoted to a leadership position as one of our  Administrators. Born and raised on Long Island, Zach is currently finishing up his Doctorate in Kinesiology from the University of Alabama.  He has had an incredible impact on camp over the past two years as Group Leader for the Pioneers.  We are sure that Upper Campus Boys will be pumped to have him as their leader.

Katie is moving back up the hill after being a Varsity Group Leader for the past three summers.  Katie will be the Head Counselor for Upper Campus Girls (6th-8th grades).  She replaces Jennie, who has decided after three summers on Girls Campus, to spend more time at home.  Katie is currently finishing up her Masters in Education at the University of Alabama and will begin teaching in the fall.  In addition to teaching, Katie is an avid volleyball player and a fantastic singer.
